Web Design for Business Publication

Nevada Business Magazine is the Silver State’s only statewide business publication with a readership of over 82,000. Nevada Central Media has worked with NBM since March of 2012 in building up the publication’s digital presence. The magazine now connects with thousands of readers via various social media feeds as well as through an extensive email list and mobile apps. Growing NBM’s digital presence is an ongoing process that excites and challenges us every day.

We recently re-designed the NevadaBusiness.com website, creating a modern, mobile-responsive look and feel.

Nevada Central Media created a web design for the business publication that is mobile-friendly with a new color and font scheme.

Consult and Planning

Nevada Business Magazine serves a readership of business owners and executives throughout the state. These readers visit NevadaBusiness.com for comprehensive updates on Nevada’s various industries. The website also serves as an excellent way for businesses to be in front of the state’s decision makers. NevadaBusiness.com needed an attractive, user-friendly display of each month’s new issue as well as daily updates from area businesses. The site needed to provide an easy way to search past issues and industry topics.

Additionally, the website needed to offer advertising space that would flow well with content and bring a lot of value.

Design and Development

Nevada Central Media created a web design for the business publication that is mobile-friendly with a new color and font scheme. Above the fold is the magazine cover and feature stories from the current month. Colors, buttons and even the background image are changed each month to match the look and feel of the latest issue. Premium display advertising space is included, as well as a scrolling Nevada News & PR Wire that is updated daily. The header and navbar allow visitors to find past issues and topics and subscribe to the magazine, eNewsletter and mobile apps. Below the fold offers additional content from the current issue, display advertising and premium features allowing businesses to publish press releases and announcements.

Article pages provide various ways for readers to share and interact with content and advertisers to launch campaigns. These campaigns can be targeted by industry and geographic location.

Launch and Maintenance

Nevada Central Media carefully tested the site for mobile-responsiveness and user experience on a variety of screen sizes and devices. Analytics are continuing, and Nevada Central Media is maintaining the website, ensuring all components are backed up and updated regularly. We also work with the staff to add new content and elements as needed.

We collaborate with NBM daily to continue building online traffic and revenue. The future is bright for NevadaBusiness.com and NBM’s digital presence.
