Rural business website spotlights small town entrepreneurs

Each day NVC Media’s RuralBusiness.com publication finds stories on motivated people injecting life into rural economies. Many have been guests on The Rural Business Show. Each of their experiences are unique but with common threads of optimism, vision, perseverance and love of community. This original platform is showcasing what it takes to make a rural business successful.

“Rural America is the greatest untapped business and strategic asset waiting to be discovered by America’s business leaders,” One business owner recently told the Canon City Daily Record.

We see more people agreeing with that assessment and investing in rural economies. We love shedding light on their journeys.

Here are some of the most recent stories we have covered:

A couple helped revitalize a 100-year-old building in rural Texas.

A young stay-at-home mom in northwest Iowa created an online business around taking care of home and family.

A farmer in Minnesota took advantage of local programs to get her small-scale organic farm off the ground.

A cheese factory in Wisconsin bought the shuttered high school and transformed it into its headquarters.

And the list goes on.

More episodes are in production, and our audience is steadily growing. We look forward to continuing to connect with people in the rural business community. Our hope is their experiences will impact others who are striving to build businesses in their small towns.
